Cossy R India

Dear Niven,I bought your book in August at the end of a Friday evening Bible Study conducted by Pastor Willie Soans at Rawlin's home. For one reason or another, I was unable to get started on reading it till Saturday the 17th. In the initial weeks after I bought the book, Melita asked me several times what I thought of the book, but I hadn't got beyond the first three or four pages of the first chapter! I was embarrassed but there was not much I could do about it. And then Melita stopped asking me.Eventually I got around to reading the book after lunch on Saturday. I couldn't put it down. From the point of your conversion, I found myself weeping again and again with joy at the tenderness of God's love and grace toward you. By the time I had finished reading the book, I felt totally refreshed and rejuvenated in my walk with God. I told Melita of my reaction to your book, and she suggested I share that with you.My life has been very different from yours (and naturally so, since each person comes from a different background, and God reaches out to each person in a different way). But today, having known the Lord's love since I was born again in April 1973, I have never lost the wonder of how God reached out to me, and as I read how He reached out to you I was filled again with that deep love for Him that comes from reading a testimony that glorifies Him.May the Lord Jesus bless you and your family, specially Marina, whom I've come to know a little through the pages of your book, and your children (who are already truly blessed to have parents like you and Marina).I've heartily recommended the book to my wife Heather, and my son Joel (27). Joel read it after tea on Sunday evening. My daughter Deborah (23) traveled to Oxford end September to start her Ph.D. studies on October 1. Though we had the book in our home from August, we were too preoccupied with things like shopping for her luggage, clothes, etc., getting her a laptop computer, and the travel formalities, and so, like us, she too had no time available in her schedule to read the book, though she told Melita that she'd try to read it at the earliest. We'll try to find a way to get a copy of your book to her.Yours in Jesus' love,Cossy

Thankyou for sharing your testimony boldly. As Marina often says it is difficult to re-live the past.I remember the time when the book was in progress, the physical trials it involved.I remember sitting by Marina holding her hand and praying for her in your house when you were so worried didn't know where else to show her.Was it the heart, was it the head?Every door to get appropriate treatment was closed.Every prayer seemed unanswered. All scripture pointed toward one answer"Wait".When we prayed and begged the Lord for some sign this what he showed God would get the glory ,it will come inthe form of emails, phone calls etc.God is faithful.I believe it was not just a trial a spiritual battle. For Marina it also involved the 'digging up the past' experience. But I believe the door has opened for her to help other women.Nevin your book has 2 sides to it.One side of a man who had reached the uttermost pit but God picked him up washes his slate clean and God recycles him to be a more honorable vessel. On the other side there is a women who also is God's honorable vessel but God uses her life to do God's recycle job through prayer. And in the end God has 2 vessels which are more useful to him.To a struggling, new belever the book gives lot of hope.To me it was Marina's part that touched me.It does not look fair. But she was like a Mary who looked at the end.She heard God and trusted him to do the job although it involved a lot of heartaches.I think this is a message other women ought to hear.I have asked Marina to share her testimony of faith and obedience with other women.Thankyou Niven for both of your lives. You both have been a blessing to us.Thankyou for all your support and prayers.

....Well done for being obedient to write the book ( which has been written well) and also sharing so openly your struggles and failures. What I felt blessed me the most as I read it was the ecitement that there is in hearing the voice of God and obeying it and seeing His power then work miracles in our lives. I feel there is a freshness and ecitement of following Jesus that comes through and also His amaing love and faithfulness. My prayer is that many of those who are struggling will find hope and many Christians who read it will find a new ecitement in following Jesus. I think since it is written very simply people find it very easy to read and everyone keeps saying 'they couldn't put it down' ....
